Lately, I’ve been pulling out my film cameras more and more, as I yearn for the simplicity of analog days. I took this image of my daughter sleeping in my bed earlier this summer. It’s grainy and soft, and I absolutely love it. (Shot with Canon EOS 1V Camera, 85mm lens, Fuji 400H Film)
I recently got to spend a morning with this adorable little baby girl and her beautiful mom. I loved watching the two of them together, the way this sweet little one would hold onto her mother’s sweater, the way she made so many sounds and had so much to say, and the way her mother would nuzzle those lovely little cheeks. Those are such precious moments, the way they are when they’re so little. Love.
“Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.”
These are the kinds of days that make us want to keep our children young forever — carefree, beautiful, effortless, and fun. Memories are made of this.
Let them be little,
let them sleep on a summer morning,
let them play with stuffed animals,
or paint all day long.
